FOLLOW THE STEPS
STEP 1:
So let's take an example , as shown in the picture below you could see a video file in the file manager having .mp4 extension.
If you play that video it will play on your default video player of your Android Phone , as in the below it's MX Player.
STEP 2 :
As we have a video file so we would just rename that file by selecting it and clicking the rename option as shown in picture
You could see the name of your file along with its extension i.e ".mp4" , So to convert it into Mp3 you have to just Rename the extension as .mp3 as shown in the image below
STEP 4:
You will get a Warning message regarding changing the extension , but it's completly normal and you could proceed further
now you could see that your file is changed to mp3 along with change in its logo
so that's it your file will run as mp3 now and you could play it in music player

The advantage of this conversion is that you could preserve the attributes of your video file and if you wish to convert it back to video again you could just follow all the steps mentioned above and change the extension to .mp4 again instead of .mp3
